This tool has the power to quickly cut through a variety of pipe materials including Schedule 80 PVC, CPVC, PEX, ABS, and rubber hose up to 2-3/8-inch outside diameter with ease. The sharp stainless steel blade with double-ground V-edge provides burr free cuts with the durability to stand the test of time.

The aluminum housing provides durabilty for the toughest jobs. The blade is offset to allow for making flush cuts close to walls. The ergonomic handle with overmold reduces user fatigue and maximizes functionality; the variable-speed trigger puts the user in control to determine the correct cutting speed during which is important in warm and extremely cold environments where pipes can fracture. Quickly open the blade using the shuttle located just above the trigger. An innovative electronic JAM RELEASE mode can be activated by pressing a button, this mode provides a maximum torque to open the blade in the event of the blade getting jammed in the pipe. Kobalt recommends using a 2.0Ah battery pack with this tool (sold separately), which will deliver up to 450 cuts per charge on a fully charged battery. The PVC and PEX cutter is one of 75+ tools that can be used with the Kobalt 24v Max battery.
